Christ in the Passover Demonstration with Model Seder |
| Details: |
Media ReleaseJeannie Goldstein of Jews for Jesus to SpeakCalvary Chapel of Northern KY invites all to hear a presentation of Jews for Jesus on Saturday, March 27 at 5:30pm. The topic will be Christ in the Passover, a Model Seder.Jeannie Goldstein of Jews for Jesus will conduct a model Seder dinner. Christ in the Passover shows the link between the ancient Festival of Redemption and Christ as the Lamb of God. This sermonic demonstration is visual, so the congregation will actually see a table set with traditional Passover items. Ms. Goldstein uses Scripture as well as the visual items to walk through a Jewish Passover seder, weaving the story of the Exodus together with the life, death and resurrection of Christ. The words He spoke in the upper room come alive as each Hebraic item is carefully explained. We will finish this powerful presentation by celebrating communion, and having dinner. Most who have joined us state that Christ in the Passover has deepened their communion experience. Goldstein, a Jewish believer in Jesus, was raised in Los Angeles and came to faith while in high school. She earned a B.A. in biblical studies from Washington Bible College. She and her husband, Efraim, also a Jewish believer, have been part of Jews for Jesus for many years. In 1994 the Goldsteins moved to Israel to establish and lead the first branch of Jews for Jesus there. Jeannie oversees all their children’s work in that country. The Goldsteins have two grown children, Daniel and Gabriel.Jews for Jesus was founded in 1973 and revolutionized Jewish evangelism as an agency that proclaims Jesus is the Messiah of Israel and Savior of the world. “Our model is the Book of Acts,” says Moshe Rosen, founder. “Jesus’ disciples didn’t linger in the Upper Room. They went down to the streets where the people were.” The organization has permanent branches in eight North American cities (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Toronto, New York City, Washington D.C. and Fort Lauderdale) as well as over 127 volunteer chapters spanning some 41 states and five countries. The group’s international branches are headquartered in Johannesburg, London, Paris, Odessa, Moscow, Essen, Rio de Janeiro, Kharkov, Dnepopretovsk, and Tel Aviv. To Jeannie Goldstein and other Jews for Jesus staff, the objective evidence of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, and the transformation in their own lives provide ample evidence that Jesus was who He claimed to be – the Jewish Messiah. Goldstein will be happy to answer questions after the presentation. Call Calvary Chapel of Northern KY at 859-466-5063 for more information. There is no admission charge, but there will be a freewill offering. |
