| Job Summary | Core Functions of the Role:To contribute, through music, to a vibrant atmosphere for meaningful Sunday services (in partnership with teaching staff) at this unique congregation. To develop lay musicians, as artists and Christ-followers.Main roles:Serve as the primary Sunday morning worship leader, which involves scheduling, rehearsing and leading bands. May co-lead or schedule others to lead as able.Choose music, in conversation with teaching staff.Recruit, train and oversee lay musicians, and create band/s.May oversee technical equipment and volunteers8 hours per week(Approximate breakdown of hours: 4 hours on Sundays, 2 hours for weekly rehearsal, 2 hours for communication/ planning) $6, 000 per yearStart date: June/July 2011 |
| Educational/Experience Requirements | A growing relationship with Christ and a passion for his Kingdom. Proficient musical skills (vocal and instrumental). Experience leading public worship, vocally and instrumentally. Experience leading a team.Technical skills with sound equipment are desirable, but not required. |
